What is The Sanctuary SLC? A church and sanctuary for the bold, the curious, and the refined. The Sanctuary SLC is an invitation-only spiritual fellowship and church providing community for underrepresented groups in the ethical non-monogamy space. Grounded in our Statement of Faith, we seek greater enlightenment and connection to the Universal Divine through social connection. We hold that the path to the sacred runs through authentic human relationship. Our Doctrinal Pillars of The Divine Within, Interconnectedness and Oneness, and Embracing Diversity and Inclusivity guide us to honor the divine in each person and in our collective experience. Housed in a beautifully restored historic building on West Market Street in downtown Salt Lake, we’re a space made for enjoyment, expression, and embodied truth. Our Core Values of Intentional Connection and Community; Personal Growth, Evolution, and Spiritual Exploration; Consent, Boundaries, and Mutual Respect; and Authentic Communication and Vulnerability form the foundation of our worship and our code of conduct. While these services incorporate social components, their primary purpose remains consistent: to provide a sacred space for members to cultivate their relationship with the Universal Divine, as outlined in our Doctrinal Pillars of The Divine Within and Interconnectedness and Oneness. These weekly services are strictly closed to the general public. To attend, individuals must be approved members of our community prior to the event. We do not accept walk-ins or same-day public admissions. This vetting process is not to restrict access to our spiritual community, but to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants — paramount to fostering the environment of trust and vulnerability essential for our form of worship. No alcohol is sold, provided, or distributed by the church, and no admission fee is charged for the provision of alcohol. Our services are open to the public through membership. If you are interested in joining our community and attending future religious services, please complete our membership intake process for approval prior to the weekend. This process supports our mission to provide a safe space where personal connection with the Universal Divine is one of our main objectives, aligning with our Doctrinal Pillar of Embracing Diversity and Inclusivity within a secure setting.
